Silent Hill: Mwahaha… what I’ve been working on is my next set of sticker/magnet/bookmark art… of which, Silent Hill was definitely one of the series I didn’t do originally… I’ll remedy that! XD

Pyramid Head rant xD

helzbuscus:

Just been lurking in the Silent Hill tag (as I do haha) and have been reading a lot of people’s opinions over Pyramid Head and why he should/shouldn’t be in any games other than Silent Hill 2.

Here’s my view- in Homecoming, it makes perfect sense. *SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED HC!* Alex accidentally killed Josh. Pyramid Head is the Punisher, so to me it’s only normal for PH to be chilling, doing his job. Alex had his feelings of guilt over Josh’s death, James was guilty over Mary’s death. I can’t see any reason why Pyramid Head shouldn’t have been there. PH (as a manifestation of guilt) wouldn’t be for only 1 person. I haven’t killed anyone, but there are some things I’ve done that I feel guilty for. If I went to SH, I’d be terrified that red bastard would show up lmao Of course, there are people who disagree. That’s fine by me haha

I’m ok with Pyramid Head being around the guilty in Silent Hill. I’ve always thought he was there to torture you into understanding why he’s there. Like when James said “I was weak, thats why i needed you. I needed someone to punish me for my sins…. But thats all over now… I know the truth. Now it’s time to end this.”, I’ve always thought that was because he accepted his guilt over Mary’s death. That why PH died. He wasn’t needed to punish him anymore because James understood why PH was stalking him.

If anyone has any other theories, I’d love to hear them! =D

not to mention that there’s a newspaper in 2 where it mentions Walter Sullivan seeing Pyramid Head, showing that it’s obviously not unique to James

I do think the cameo in the movie was completely unnecessary though
